What if I or my unit cannot afford this?
There are numerous financial resources available to units and individuals in defraying the cost of Scouting, and they are expanding. Along with the fee increase, the National Executive Board noted that they are in the process of creating a donor-based fund in order to defray the costs of the National Recharter Fee. Additionally, most Councils have a fund to defray the recharter costs of individuals or units. No effort will be made to shame any unit or individual who is a beneficiary of the aforementioned funds. Talk to your Council Executive about funds for rechartering your unit. If you need any help, do not hesitate to contact us.
